I created Get Known SEO for one reason, to help small business owners and entrepreneurs find more business, much much sooner!  I know you are very busy and want to be focusing on what you really enjoy.  As a small business consultant I’ve found that the number one issue small business owner’s face is driving real, qualified, customers, to a business.

Most small business owners are very intelligent and have tried many traditional forms of advertising and marketing to draw in new customers.  However many of these require years of branding, word of mouth referrals, and a lot of money up front!  The single most cost-effective way to find new customers is coming up on the first page in search engines.  Check out this blog post on why SEO is good for small business.

If you have a few minutes I’d like to tell you a little more about myself.  I’m extremely passionate about small business and also about helping my friends and clients become more successful.  Ask anyone who knows me and they will tell you how much I love businesses and helping folks kick-start new projects.  It is an absolute pleasure to do.  I’ve had the honor of helping friends with not-for-profit’s, clothing, retail, personal training, educational products, fashion, video production, production companies, and more.  Additionally I’ve been personally involved, as an owner, with bars, restaurants, a photography company, a tax and accounting firm, small business consulting, real estate, informational products and Get Known SEO.  However, this company is my passion!

Besides the above I manage to find time to sprinkle in a few hobbies!  Just recently, I’ve started playing airsoft (which is kind of like paintball but only a bit more realistic).  I love that sport.  It really gives you a perspective on what service men and women have to go through.  It is a real eye opener.  I also very much enjoy getting outdoors and like hiking at Devil’s Lake, camping on the Wisconsin River, exploring new outdoor areas, grilling food outside (who doesn’t love Wisconsin Corn in July and August?), and just enjoying the spring, summer, and fall.

I grew up in Oconomowoc Wisconsin but then moved quite a bit since then, from Sun Prairie, to Whitewater (for college), and then back to Madison on the West Side of town.  My family lives in Sun Prairie, Oconomowoc, and Waukesha Wisconsin, so fortunately they are all nearby!  I love those Sunday grill-outs with the family.

Five Fun Facts about me!

1. I’m a big dog guy!  I hope to have a couple someday very soon.  I’m thinking of one or two of the following breeds: Doberman, German Short-haired Pointer, Whippet, Vizsla, or maybe a greyhound.  I also might consider a Great Dane, but I’m not sure about the drool!
2. My dream car is an Acura TL SH-AWD with black exterior and black leather interior!  What a nice ride!  That AWD would be great in the winter.
3. I’m kind of a health fanatic.  I eat very healthy (mostly fruits, vegetables, and whole grains) and I also exercise regularly.  Favorite fruit is pineapple or an apple.
4. I can cook a really great stir-fry!  My secret ingredient in most of my cooking is pineapple.
5. I like to give to an organization called kiva.org because it focuses on helping entrepreneurs around the globe.  You can check out my lender profile page.  Each month I give a % of net profit towards this in order to help folks all around the world.  Pretty cool stuff since I can continue to help new folks in their businesses as they return money.
